I didn't think about it and a mirror was not required to achieve the "easy" look. One day, a close friend complimented, "I really like your ballerina bun. It's chic." This was the first time I really thought about my bun as a fashion statement. Now ballerina buns, messy bedhair buns, and top knots are showing up in all sorts of fashion editorials and on the streets.
